Buy Butterfly houses at Hagan’s Ace Hardware in all of our Greater Jacksonville locations

Hagan Ace has always had a ‘butterfly’ section at all stores – a place designated for pollinator plants. A few years ago…. Our garden center staff members started hearing – locally – there wasn’t enough pollination going on. They wanted to come up with a way to BOOST Butterfly production! Then they ‘hatched’ an idea… what if they made butterfly habitats for each store and created a ‘pollinator program’ where they could teach customers about the importance of one of nature’s greatest phenomenon’s.

Our first butterfly hut was created and the idea grew wings from there. We now have butterfly habitats in all 9 of our Hagan Ace Hardware stores. Each habitat is surrounded with pollinator plants and we designate a section of our garden center just to this specific program. They are a natural attraction for children and families.

We view our Hagan Ace butterfly Habitats as more than just a place where we are helping protect and nurture our pollinators – but as a place where our community can come together to do something outdoors, away from a TV screen and get in touch with nature.
